We understand that your flight was tiring, so you can take some time to shower and get ready to explore the tourist attractions in the Miraflores district. Our Local Rep will accompany you on a walk through the district's most important sites, assisting you in purchasing a SIM card so you can communicate with your family during your trip to Peru. She will also help you exchange dollars for soles. You will head to the Costa Verde, where you can see and enjoy the Peruvian seascape and the Lima sunset. The walk through this area is relaxing.

After breakfast at your hotel in Lima, a shuttle will take you to Lima's Jorge Chávez Airport, where you will board a flight to Cusco. The flight lasts approximately 60 minutes. Upon arrival at the Cusco airport, a guide will be waiting to take you to the heart of the Sacred Valley. We will first visit the Andean camelid and textile museum, an organization of several communities, "Hands of the Community." This place is full of charm and tradition. This place welcomes us with its colorful decor based on alpaca and llama wool fabrics.
You will begin the tour by visiting the most iconic camelids of the Andes: llamas and alpacas. Here, you will live a unique experience interacting with animals such as the Suri, Guanaco, Alpaca, and Llama. You'll be able to take many photos, feed them, and interact directly with the camelids. You'll also learn to distinguish them, as they look very similar. You'll have an up-close experience with the creation and processing of different fabrics made from camelid wool, such as blankets, purses, sweaters, and decorative home decorations.
After this unique experience, we'll continue our journey to the Sacred Valley. Along the way, you'll witness beautiful mountain landscapes and tourist viewpoints that make this route even more incredible. Our second stop will be in Urubamba. Here, you can enjoy lunch, and then transfer to your hotel in the Sacred Valley of the Incas (2,870 meters above sea level/9,416 feet), where you can rest comfortably and enjoy a pleasant stay. In the evening, enjoy dinner at the same hotel on your own.

After a delicious breakfast at your Sacred Valley hotel, your guide will pick you up at 8:00 am. You will head to the Maras Salt Flats (altitude: 3,200 meters above sea level/10,499 feet). This journey takes approximately 1 hour. The road is paved, and near the Maras Salt Flats, it's a dirt road. Don't worry, the transportation will be adequate for your trip.
During the trip, we will observe fields of wheat, potatoes, barley, and other crops. During the rainy season, the landscape is impressive, as everything turns green. The inhabitants of these areas are dedicated to agriculture and animal grazing. There are more than 3,000 salt ponds located in this place. From the top, you can see an incredible landscape of this tourist attraction. According to researchers, this product was formerly used to dehydrate food and make it last longer. Currently, this type of dehydration is used in remote communities. The residents who own the wells extract the salt every week. During the dry season, it is extracted every 2 to 3 days. This product is selected in layers and is used for human, medicinal, and animal consumption. To generate salt, the wells are fed by springs found in the mountains of the area. We will then continue to the archaeological site of Moray (altitude: 3,500 meters above sea level/11,483 feet). This site was an agricultural laboratory where crops were grown in different altitudinal climates. The circular terraces create a unique, natural landscape. We will then head back to Urubamba where we will have our buffet lunch. Then, we will continue to Ollantaytambo, where we will visit the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo (altitude: 2,792 meters above sea level/9,161 feet). Based on the architectural constructions, this site was a military and religious center during the Inca era. This place is considered a prime tourist town due to its unique architecture. Its cobblestone streets and water channels make visiting this place an incredible and attractive experience. We will then drop you off at your hotel in the Sacred Valley. In the evening, you will enjoy dinner at the hotel on your own.

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. A shuttle will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the Ollantaytambo station. From there, you'll board your Vistadome Observatory train with an onboard show, heading to the town of Aguas Calientes. Along the way, you'll admire the lush vegetation of the surrounding landscape, while the mighty Urubamba River flows alongside the train, providing incredible and unique views.
You'll enjoy this 1-hour and 40-minute train ride, accompanied by music and dancers, making your train ride unforgettable. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, a staff member will be waiting to assist you at your hotel to settle into your room. You have the afternoon free to enjoy the tranquility of Aguas Calientes, go to lunch at the town's many top restaurants, or relax at your hotel.

Today we'll leave early to be the first to climb and enjoy the majesty and architecture of one of the 7 wonders of the world, Machu Picchu. Don't forget to bring your passport.
We will board the first buses from the town of Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu. The journey takes 35 to 40 minutes. The path zigzags through lush vegetation until we reach the entrance gate to the Wonder of the World Machu Picchu (2,430 masl/7,972 ft). If you wish, you can use the restrooms, as there is no such facility inside the sanctuary. Together with our guide, we will begin the tour along the assigned route. The charm and mysticism of the wonder of Machu Picchu will connect you with the nature and history of this place. You will be amazed by the precision of the stone carvings and the hydraulic system used by the Incas. The guide will make stops to give details of each site we visit, where you can also take photographs.

After a 2.5-hour ride, it will be time to return. You will take the bus down the same route to the town of Aguas Calientes. We will drop you off at the tourist restaurant so you can enjoy lunch. You can also explore the town on foot, as there is no other means of transportation.
Depending on your return train schedule, you should arrive 30 minutes in advance to the Aguas Calientes station. The return route is the same this time; our destination will be Poroy station. The travel time for this route is approximately 4 hours. Upon arrival at Poroy station, a designated shuttle will be waiting for you and will return you to your hotel in Cusco (altitude: 3,399 meters above sea level/11,152 feet).

This day is free for you to rest and explore the city on foot. You can visit museums and craft centers and enjoy lunch at the various restaurants in the Plaza de Armas on your own. You can also relax with a massage at the hotel spa; check prices directly with the hotel.
