DAY 1: WELCOME TO LIMA | Lima

We will be waiting for your arrival at Lima's Jorge Chávez International Airport. A Local Representative assigned by our company will be waiting and escorting you to your hotel in Miraflores.
We understand your flight was tiring, so you can take some time to shower and get ready to explore the tourist attractions in Miraflores. Our Local Representative will accompany you on a walk through the district's most important sites, assisting you in purchasing a SIM card so you can communicate with your family during your trip to Peru. She will also help you exchange dollars for soles. You will head to the Green Coast, where you can enjoy the Peruvian seascape and the sunset. The walk through this area is relaxing.

DAY 2: ICA VINEYARD TOUR + HUACACHINA SUNSET | Huacachina

Our day begins with pickup from your hotel (7:00 am). The guide will arrive at the scheduled time with a tour bus for a 4.5-hour drive to Ica. Here, we will visit the ancient TACAMA vineyard (400 meters above sea level/1,313 feet), where we will learn all about wines and piscos. We will tour the vineyard's main sites. We will also taste some wines and piscos. We will also have lunch overlooking the vineyards.
After enjoying a delicious lunch, we will travel for an hour in our transport to the Huacachina Desert (406 meters above sea level/1,333 feet), an oasis located in the middle of the desert. Here, the experience will be incredible, as we will travel to the top in buggies for an incredible view of the sunset. We will also enjoy sandboarding, sliding on boards on the sand. It will be an incredible adventure (if you don't want to do this activity, don't worry, you can just enjoy the scenery and take some great photos). We will enjoy the incredible sunset from this location. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to your hotel.

DAY 3: BALLESTAS ISLANDS TOUR RETURN TO LIMA | Lima

We will have an early breakfast at the hotel and head for an hour to the port in Paracas, where we will board a motorized boat to begin the tour to the Ballestas Islands. A two-hour tour will sail along the Peruvian sea, where we will appreciate the marine fauna of the Peruvian coast. We will make a stop en route to admire the famous CANDELABRO, a figure carved in the sand and related to the Nazca lines. We will view this image from our boat. We will continue sailing and enjoy the presence of guano birds, sea lions, Humboldt penguins, Peruvian pelicans, boobies, otters, among other marine species that surround this natural environment. There are also rock formations that make the place an incredible landscape.
After sailing for approximately 2 hours on the Peruvian coast, we will return to the dock where our shuttle will be waiting and will take us along the Peruvian coast for a 4-hour journey to your hotel in Lima. We will need to pack our bags as we have a flight to another city in Peru the next day.

DAY 4: FLY TO THE WINDY CITY | Puno

We bid farewell to the Peruvian coast to fly to the Windy City in Juliaca. Three hours before your domestic flight to Juliaca departs, a shuttle will pick you up from your hotel to take you to the Lima airport, where you will board your flight to Inca Manco Capac Airport in Juliaca.

After a 1-hour and 30-minute flight, upon arrival at Juliaca Airport (altitude: 3,826 meters above sea level/12,553 feet), a shuttle will be waiting to take you to your hotel in Puno. The journey from Juliaca to your hotel in Puno (altitude: 3,827 meters above sea level/12,556 feet) is approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes.

DAY 5: UROS AND TAQUILE ISLAND TOUR | Puno

Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel at approximately 6:00 a.m. and transfer you to the port, where you will board a motorboat. After a 30-minute cruise on Lake Titicaca, you will arrive at the floating islands of Uros (altitude: 3,810 meters above sea level/12,500 feet). The inhabitants of this island make their living from fishing and crafts, and their houses are built from totora reeds grown in the lake. Likewise, the island floats on the roots of this plant. The Uros people still speak Aymara, and here on this island you can also take a ride on totora reed rafts as an extra activity.

We will then continue our journey sailing to Taquile Island (altitude: 3,950 meters above sea level/12,960 feet). The island is located 37 kilometers from Puno. This island is famous for its textile art and is considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Here, the main weavers are boys who practice this art from a very young age and are the ones who make their clothing, for example: the hat they wear has an important meaning. They maintain their culture and traditions to this day. The predominant language on this island is Quechua. Here, we will have our typical lunch, then descend to the port via some stone steps. In the afternoon, we will sail back to Puno, arriving at approximately 5:30 pm, and then transfer you to your hotel.

DAY 6: EARLY TRIP FROM PUNO - PALCCOYO MOUNTAINS TOUR | Cusipata

A shuttle will pick you up in the early morning at approximately 2:30 am, and you will travel for approximately 5 hours and 40 minutes to the town of Cusipata. Your guide will be waiting for you at the restaurant. Together, you will have breakfast and then board the shuttle to begin the tour to the Palccoyo Mountains.
The road begins on paved ground, and you will then enter the villages where the road is dirt. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. Along the way, we will have impressive views of the mountains' flora and fauna. Along the way, we will also see villagers herding their animals, such as alpacas and sheep. The locals are dedicated to agriculture and herding, so these activities constitute their source of income. Once we arrive at the parking lot, we will have a panoramic view of the Andean landscape surrounded by mountains covered in ichu, cacti, and grasses that serve as food for camelids. It's time to prepare our photography equipment and get the best shots. We'll walk along a route designed with stones, stopping to enjoy the scenery, and after 50 minutes to an hour, we'll be at the summit. The view from the top of Palccoyo Mountain is impressive. We're at an altitude of 4,900 meters above sea level/16,076 feet. From this point, you can see the mountain range that covers the valley with its red, ochre, and magenta colors.
After a rest and taking the best photos, it's time to return to the parking lot. We'll board the shuttle again to the restaurant where we'll have lunch prepared with local products. Then, at approximately 3:00 p.m., you'll be transferred to your ecolodge located by the river. This day, you'll spend the night in this small and quiet town of Cusipata. It's time to recharge your camera batteries for the next day. Don't worry, our guide will be waiting for you.

DAY 7: TOUR TO THE MYSTERIOUS PALLAY PONCHO LINES | Cusco

Early at approximately 5:00 a.m., we will prepare to visit our second destination, Pallay Poncho Mountain, located in the Layo district. We will drive in our vehicle for 2 hours and 30 minutes until we reach the starting point. Along the way, we will pass through the towns of Checacupe, Combapata, San Pedro, Sicuani, and Marangani.
From the base of the mountain we will begin our walk for approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes through grasslands and surrounded by Andean fauna such as llamas and alpacas, the walk to the viewpoint is steep and here we do require a lot of energy to reach the top, from some points when we make stops you can already see the mountain with the colorful lines of red, ochre, magenta, turquoise green, brown and yellows. This over the years have formed perfectly into fine layer-like lines that beautify the landscape and the mountain, it is also a mystery how the lines were made like a woven Andean poncho; from here you can take spectacular photographs. Once at the top we are located at an altitude of 4700 meters above sea level / 15420 ft at this point we will have impressive views of the horizon and the Pallay Poncho mountain, at the same time we will have the impressive view towards the Langui - Layo lagoon; We'll have time to rest, explore, and take photos of the mysterious Pallay Poncho mountain range and the Andes mountain range.
It's time to return to the base along the same route we ascended. We'll board our transportation and drive back to the town of Cusipata, where we'll have a buffet lunch. Then, we'll return to Cusco, where we'll drop you off at your hotel so you can rest.

DAY 8: WALKING TOUR IN CUSCO | Cusco

Have breakfast at your hotel, then we'll start with a walk through the city. The tour begins with pickup from your hotel at a previously agreed time, approximately 10:00 am. We'll walk to the San Pedro Market. Depending on the location of your hotel, we'll be there in 5 to 10 minutes. We'll learn about the living culture of the population inside and around the market. Inside the San Pedro Market, you can find a variety of products, including fresh juices, cheese, chuta bread (large circular bread), coffee, coca leaves, and handicrafts that are representative of the city, such as ponchos, chullos, and alpaca sweaters. If you'd like, you can try some of the foods being sold at the various stands. We will continue our tour and a few minutes away is the Santa Clara Arch, beautiful for its design and architecture. It is one of the arches that surrounds the city of Cusco. We will pass by San Francisco Square, where we can observe a botanical garden displaying the native Andean flora of the region. We will pass through Marqués Street until we reach Cusco's Main Square, located at an altitude of 3,399 meters above sea level (11,151 feet). It is also known as Aucaypata, a Quechua name meaning "important place." Currently, this place is home to beautiful cobblestone streets, portals, and many tourists of different nationalities who visit the imperial city daily. It is also a favorite place for visitors to enjoy the restaurants that surround the square. On this tour, we will also head to the Sapantiana Aqueduct, a colonial construction in the form of arches. We will continue towards Seven Borreguitos Street, ideal for taking beautiful photographs and sharing this walk with the family within the city. At the end of this tour, we will drop you off in the city center to enjoy your lunch.

DAY 9: TRANSFER AND OVERNIGHT IN MOUNTAIN VIEW | mountain view

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel in Cusco. At approximately 10:00 a.m., we will pick you up for your transfer to the Mountain View cabins in Maras, at an altitude of 3,300 meters above sea level / 10,827 feet. The trip takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Along the way, we will witness beautiful landscapes and plots of land planted with crops such as potatoes, wheat, beans, and oats. The residents of the surrounding areas produce and are dedicated to agriculture.

Check-in for the cabins is at 1:00 pm, but if the rooms are ready before then, you'll be able to enter. You can enjoy the outdoor bathtub and interact with Andean camelids like the llama and alpaca, which will make your stay an incredible experience. This place is perfect for an off-the-beaten-path getaway. Located far from the city and surrounded only by the mountains and snow-capped peaks of the Sacred Valley, this place will connect you with nature. Bike rides are an included activity; you can enjoy this activity and explore the hills near the cabin.

At night, enjoy the campfire and the constellations of the night sky from the comfort of your room.

DAY 10: VISTADOME OBSERVATORY TRAIN RIDE | Aguas Calientes

Enjoy your included breakfast at the Mountain View cabins. A shuttle will pick you up at a predetermined time according to your train schedule and take you to the Ollantaytambo station. From there, you'll board your Vistadome Observatory train with an onboard show bound for Aguas Calientes. Along the way, you'll admire the lush vegetation-covered landscape, while the mighty Urubamba River flows alongside the train, providing incredible and unique views.
You'll enjoy this 1-hour and 40-minute train ride, accompanied by music and dancers, making your experience unforgettable. Upon arrival, a staff member will be waiting to assist you to your hotel room in Aguas Calientes. You'll have the afternoon free to enjoy the tranquility of the town of Aguas Calientes (2,040 meters above sea level/6,693 feet), enjoy lunch at the various restaurants in the area, or relax at the hotel.

DAY 11: MACHU PICCHU TOUR RETURN BY EXPEDITION TRAIN | Urubamba

Today we'll leave early to be the first to enjoy the majesty of Machu Picchu. Don't forget to bring your passport.
We'll board the first buses from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu. The journey takes 35 to 40 minutes. The road zigzags through lush vegetation until we reach the entrance gate to Machu Picchu (2,430 masl/7,972 ft). If you wish, you can use the restrooms, as there are no restrooms inside the sanctuary. Together with our guide, we'll begin the tour on the assigned route. The charm and mysticism of Machu Picchu will connect you with the nature and history of this place. You'll be amazed by the precision of the stone carvings and the hydraulic system used by the Incas. The guide will make stops to give details of each site we visit, where you can also take photographs.
After a 2.5-hour ride, it's time to return. You'll take the bus down the same route to Aguas Calientes. Here, enjoy lunch at the various restaurants available at your own expense. You can also explore the town on foot, as there is no transportation.
Depending on your return train schedule, you should arrive 30 minutes in advance to the Aguas Calientes station. The return route is the same to the Ollantaytambo station. Upon arrival, a designated shuttle will be waiting for you and will return you to your hotel in Urubamba (2,871 meters above sea level/9,420 feet).

DAY 12: OLLANTAYTAMBO AND PISAC TOUR | Cusco

After breakfast at your hotel in Urubamba, your guide will pick you up at 8:30 am to begin the tour to Ollantaytambo. We will visit the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo (altitude: 2,792 meters above sea level/9,161 feet). According to researchers and its construction method, this site was a military and religious center during the Inca era. This place is also considered a top tourist destination due to its unique architecture, cobblestone streets, and water channels, making this a truly incredible experience.
Then we will continue our tour to our next stop in Pisac (altitude: 2,972 meters above sea level/9,751 feet), where we will visit the Pisac archaeological site, built on the top of a mountain where ancient settlers had to find ways to farm, as this site has numerous terraces on the mountainside. In the afternoon, after a 40-minute drive, we will arrive in Cusco and drop you off at your hotel so you can rest.

DAY 13: TOUR TO THE TURQUOISE WATERS OF HUMANTAY LAGOON | Cusco

We will start the tour early in the morning at approximately 4:00 am. The guide will pick you up from your hotel. We will travel for 3 hours to the town of Mollepata, where we will have breakfast at the Ecocamp with incredible views of nature and the surrounding mountains. Then, we will board the vehicle again and head to Soraypampa (3,900 masl/12,796 ft). The road is dirt and winds through dense vegetation, and this journey takes approximately 1 hour. Upon arriving in Soraypampa, we will have an overview of the hike we will undertake that day.

At this point, we'll give you trekking poles, which will be very useful for the ascent to the lagoon. The trail is approximately 1 hour uphill, and the final section requires some physical effort as it is somewhat steep. Along the way, we'll be accompanied by beautiful mountain views and also appreciate the snow-capped peaks of Salkantay (6,271 meters) and Humantay.

Once you reach the summit, you'll be amazed by the landscape and the turquoise waters of the Humantay Lagoon (4,200 meters above sea level/13,780 feet). The lagoon is fed by the glaciers that surround the area. Along with the guide, we'll perform a ceremony to thank the sacred Apus for welcoming us and for their protection during our journey. As a sign of achievement, we'll place apachetas, or stones, one on top of the other. We will remain there for approximately 40 minutes, where you can take beautiful photographs that will remain engraved in your camera and in your memories. Then, we will begin the descent along the same route to where our transportation will be waiting for us. Our transportation will take us back to Mollepata, where we will reach the Eco Camp restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon, we will return to Cusco. Arrival in Cusco is approximately 5:00 p.m. In the evening, you can opt for a farewell dinner, as this will be your last night in Cusco.

DAY 14: FLIGHT FROM CUSCO TO LIMA

Enjoy your last breakfast at your hotel in Cusco. It's time to say goodbye. At a predetermined time, depending on your flight, we will transfer you to the Cusco airport, where you will board your flight to Lima. From Lima, you will connect to your international flight.
