DAY 1: WELCOME TO LIMA | Lima

Depending on your arrival time at Lima International Airport, our representative will be waiting for you. They will transfer you to your hotel in Miraflores. They will assist you for 2 hours touring tourist attractions and provide assistance with dollar exchange, recommendations, and information about your tour for the following days.

DAY 2: CITY CENTER TOUR / FLY TO CUSCO | Cusco

In the morning, you will begin a city tour at approximately 9:00 a.m. Your guide will pick you up from your hotel to begin the tour in private transportation. We will travel to Huaca Pucllana (97 meters above sea level/319 feet). This sacred site was a ceremonial center built in the 4th century AD. We will continue our tour and head to the historic center of Lima, where we will marvel at the impressive view of the Lima Cathedral, the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, and we will visit the San Francisco Convent, famous for its Catacombs, which are underground tombs.
Then, we will continue our tour where we will have impressive views of the districts of San Isidro and Miraflores. We will pass by Love Park and have a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean from Larcomar (50 meters above sea level/165 feet). We will visit Lima's traditional residential areas. At the end of the tour, we will drop you off at your hotel or, if you prefer, at a tourist restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon, three hours before the departure time of your domestic flight to Cusco, a shuttle will pick you up from your hotel to the airport, where you will board your flight to Cusco's Alejandro Velasco Astete Airport.
After a 60-minute flight, you will land on Cusco soil. Located at an altitude of 3,399 meters above sea level/11,152 feet, a shuttle will be waiting for you upon exiting the gate to take you to your hotel in the historic center.

DAY 3: HANDS OF THE COMMUNITY - PISAC - OLLANTAYTAMBO | Cusco

We will pick you up from your hotel at approximately 8:00 am. About 30 minutes later, we will stop to visit the Andean camelid and textile museum, which is an organization of several communities, "Hands of the Community," a place full of charm and traditions. This place welcomes us with its colorful decor based on alpaca and llama wool fabrics.
We'll begin the tour by first visiting the most iconic camelids of the Andes: llamas and alpacas. Here, you'll have a unique experience interacting with animals like the Suri, Guanaco, Alpaca, and Llama. You'll be able to take many photos, feed them, and interact directly with the camelids. You'll also be able to distinguish them since they look so similar. We'll have a close-up experience of the creation and processing of different fabrics made from camelid wool, such as blankets, purses, sweaters, and decorative ornaments for the home. After living this unique experience we will continue our journey to the sacred valley on the route you will witness beautiful mountain landscapes and tourist viewpoints that make this route even more incredible, our second stop will be at the archaeological center of Pisac (2972 masl / 9751 ft) built on top of the mountain formed by towers and terraces, where the ancient settlers had to find ways to produce agriculture and irrigation on top of the mountain, we will continue our tour until we reach Urubamba where we will have a buffet lunch with dishes prepared with local products, after enjoying a delicious lunch we will head to Ollantaytambo where we will visit the beautiful constructions with giant stones it is said that this place was a military and religious center, after this visit we will return to Cusco but first we will make a stop in Chinchero, here we will have impressive views of its platforms and its colonial temple this town is authentic in its customs and traditions.

DAY 4: CUSCO – MOLLEPATA – CHALLACANCHA- SORAYPAMPA – HUMANTAY LAGOON | Glamping

This day we will start early with pick-up from your hotel at approximately 5:00 am. On a 2 hour and 30 minute drive we will arrive at Mollepata. Here you will have the option to have breakfast and use the restrooms. Afterwards we will board the transport again to continue our journey for 40 minutes along a dirt road until we reach Challacancha (altitude: 3800 masl/12467). Here we will meet with the support staff who will accompany us during the following days of trekking, muleteer, pack horses and assistants; Our guide will give us important recommendations to start the 5-day hike, then we will begin this adventure. Our first stop will be in Soraypampa (altitude: 3900 masl / 12795 ft). Here we will have our first camp. After a short rest, we will begin our trek towards the crystal-clear turquoise waters of Laguna de Humantay. The first part of the path is flat and then, as the minutes pass, we will have to ascend for approximately 30 minutes. This route will take us approximately 3 hours of walking there and back. Upon reaching the summit, we will have an incredible view of the wonderful Laguna de Humantay (4200 masl / 13780 ft). We will also be able to feel the Humantay snow-capped mountain up close, and in the distance, we will appreciate the Sacred Apu of the Salkantay snow-capped mountain. After enjoying the breathtaking landscapes and taking photographs, we'll return to the base camp where we'll have lunch prepared by our chef. In the afternoon, we'll enjoy the surrounding landscape and rest, while also preparing for the next day of adventure and pure adrenaline.

DAY 5: SORAYPAMPA - SALKANTAY PASS - HUAYRACMACHAY - CHAULLAY | Glamping

Today we start with an early breakfast at approximately 5:00 a.m. and continue with our second day of hiking. We recommend a good breakfast and plenty of water as we will challenge the highest altitude of this adventure, the Salkantay Pass (4,632 masl/15,197 ft), from where we will have the impressive view of the mountain range and gorges that surround us throughout the hike. Likewise, the path at this point is ascending, and we will get closer and closer to the imposing Salkantay snow-capped mountain. After enjoying the breathtaking landscapes and taking some photographs at the summit, we will continue our hike until we reach lunch at Huayracmachay (3,800 masl/12,467 ft), where we will enjoy a delicious lunch to recharge our batteries and continue to our assigned camp. After a short break and relaxation, we will continue our journey, gradually entering the cloud forests of the jungle covered in vegetation. Along the way, we will witness a biodiversity of flora and fauna. The climate will also be a little milder. We will descend to our next camp at Chaullay (2,900 masl/9,515 ft). In the afternoon, we will have dinner and rest for the next day's experience.

DAY 6: CHAULLAY - SAHUAYACO BEACH - LUCMABAMBA | glamping

After our delicious breakfast prepared by our chef at Chaullay, we'll prepare to continue our third day of trekking. Today, we'll enjoy a route covered in vegetation and the pleasant climate of the tropical rainforest. Along the way, we'll see fruit plantations, banana, coca, coffee, and tangerine trees, as well as a variety of animals endemic to the area. The landscape will be impressive, with the Santa Teresa Valley visible. After a hike of approximately 3 hours, we'll have lunch at Sahuayaco Beach to recharge our batteries and regain our spirits to continue this incredible adventure.
In the afternoon, we'll get a little closer to our third camp in Lucmabamba (altitude: 2,062 meters above sea level/6,765 feet). Each day, the experience of this adventure is unique, as we experience different types of weather, which undoubtedly makes this adventure more interesting. After a short break to relax our feet, we'll head to the Cocalmayo hot springs (38°C) (1,600 meters above sea level/5,250 feet). This visit is an option on this adventure. This place has artisanal pools and is undoubtedly very relaxing for the body after 3 days of hiking.
Then we'll have to return to our base camp in Lucmabamba to spend the night and prepare for the next day's challenging hike. This day, the weather is mild, making your rest more enjoyable. ✔ Maximum altitude: 2062 meters above sea level / 6765 feet

DAY 7: LUCMABAMBA - LLACTAPATA - HYDROELECTRIC - AGUAS CALIENTES | Dome

Today we begin our hike after breakfast at our campsite. We prepare to continue our route to one of the most beautiful spots of this adventure. During our hike, we will pass through beautiful landscapes and jungle valleys with abundant vegetation. We will ascend along the Qhapacñan trail for approximately 2 hours until we reach the archaeological site of Llactapata (altitude: 2840 masl / 9317 ft). From here, you can appreciate the wonders of Machu Picchu and Wayna Picchu. Along with your guide, you will learn about the history of this place and its function during the Inca era. After enjoying the most important sites in Llactapata, we will begin to descend along incredible trails until we reach the hydroelectric station (1800 masl / 5906 ft).
At this point, you have two options to get to Aguas Calientes: The first option is to take a train from Hidroeléctrica to Aguas Calientes (not included in the tour). The second option is to continue enjoying this last stretch of hiking along the train tracks from Hidroeléctrica to Aguas Calientes for approximately 3 hours. The path is flat, covered in vegetation, and the only sound is birdsong. Upon arriving in Aguas Calientes (altitude: 2040 masl/6693 ft), we will head to your hotel so you can take a relaxing shower and then choose to dine at the various restaurants in the area. You can also explore the town of Aguas Calientes, then rest and relax for the next day's tour.

DAY 8: AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHUPICCHU - OLLANTAYTAMBO - CUSCO | Cusco

After a well-deserved rest, today we'll have to leave your hotel early to be the first to enjoy the majesty of Machu Picchu. Don't forget to bring your passport and cameras.
We'll board the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu. The journey lasts 35 to 40 minutes. The road zigzags through lush vegetation until we reach the entrance gate to Machu Picchu (altitude: 2,430 masl/7,972 ft). If you wish, you can use the restrooms, as there are no restrooms inside the sanctuary. Together with our guide, we'll begin the tour along the assigned route. The charm and mysticism of Machu Picchu will connect you with nature. You'll be amazed by the precision of the stone carvings and the hydraulic system used by the Incas. The guide will make stops to give details of each place and take photographs. After a 2.5-hour ride, it will be time to return. We will take the bus down the same route to Aguas Calientes. We will drop you off so you can enjoy lunch at the various restaurants in the area. You can also explore the town on foot, as there is no transportation.
Depending on your return train schedule, we will head to the Aguas Calientes station 30 minutes before departure time. From there, it will be a 1-hour and 40-minute ride to reach the Ollantaytambo station. Upon arrival at the Ollantaytambo station, a designated shuttle will be waiting for you and will return you to your hotel in Cusco.

DAY 9: FREE DAY IN THE HISTORIC CITY OF CUSCO | Cusco

After an adventure along the Salkantay Trail, it's time to rest and relax in the imperial city of Cusco. You can visit tourist attractions within the city, such as the traditional Cusco market, explore its cobblestone streets steeped in history, and even head to the oldest neighborhood of San Blas.
If you would like to take an additional tour to the Maras Salt Mines or the Moray terraces, please consult your sales representative for additional pricing.

DAY 10: TREKKING TO VINICUNCA RAINBOW MOUNTAIN | Cusco

Very early in the morning at approximately 3:30 am, the guide will pick you up from your hotel to begin this incredible mountain adventure. A 2-hour journey will take us to the breakfast spot in Cusipata (3,310 masl/10,860 ft). We will enjoy a buffet breakfast prepared with local products. We will then travel by transport again for another 40 minutes, passing through checkpoints where you can pay your entrance fee. These are two neighboring communities that manage this mountain. Our hike begins at Llacto, where all transportation arrives, and from here everyone begins their walk. At this point, the guide will provide some recommendations and give you your trekking poles. The hike is moderate, approximately 1 hour, then becomes challenging for 30 minutes. Due to the altitude, we must ascend towards the end to reach the tourist viewpoint (5,100 meters above sea level / 16,732 feet). From there, we will have impressive views of the mountain range, and in the distance, we will also see the Red Valley.
Once at the top, we will have a brief explanation from the guide, who will provide us with information about how this beautiful place, made up of red, ochre, green, and yellow colors, originated and formed. Then, we must return along the same path to the base of the parking lot, from where we will board our transportation to the restaurant where we will have our buffet lunch. We will then return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 5:00 p.m.

 

DAY 11: FLIGHT FROM CUSCO TO LIMA - CONNECT TO YOUR INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT

It's time to say goodbye. Two hours before your flight's departure time, we'll transfer you to Cusco's Alejandro Velasco Astete Airport, where you'll board your flight to Lima and then connect to your international flight.
