Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu Tour 2 Days and 1 Night

Day 1: Explore the Sacred Valley on panoramic trains!

The tour begins with a pick-up from your hotel at the scheduled time. There will be no need to wake up early, as we will ensure that your train schedule is set for after noon. You will have an incredible experience all the way to the town of Aguas Calientes.

On the journey from Cusco to Ollantaytambo, you will enjoy the beautiful landscape and mountains that surround the entire valley. After approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, we will arrive at the Ollantaytambo station, where you will board the Vistadome Observatory panoramic train. This train ride lasts approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, and along the way, you will be accompanied by the flora and abundant vegetation of the cloud forest and the Vilcanota River. Upon arrival at the town of Aguas Calientes, hotel staff will be waiting to transfer you to your assigned hotel, where you will spend the night.

In the afternoon, you will have free time to explore the village on foot, as there are no transport options available. Enjoy a delicious lunch at one of the local restaurants. In the evening, around 7:00 PM, our guide will provide you with all the necessary information for your Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu tour.

Day 2: Make your dreams come true at Machu Picchu!

On this day, we will start our tour very early, and after breakfast, we will head to the station to board the bus. Here, we will ascend 400 meters along a zigzagging path for 30 minutes to reach the incredible wonder of the world, 'The Sanctuary of Machu Picchu,' also known as 'The Lost City of the Incas.'

Now, your dreams come true; before you lies the beauty of this mystical place. It’s time to enter! You will pass through the entrance control where you will present your ticket. From there, the guided tour will begin, exploring the main sites such as the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the cemeteries.

After the guided tour, we will hike up Huayna Picchu Mountain, the most famous trek to the Machu Picchu Citadel. This is an incredible experience as you walk to this sacred mountain, where you will enjoy the best views from the summit. Later, we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you can have lunch at one of the local restaurants (lunch not included).

In the afternoon, we will take the train back to Cusco (please arrive at the station 30 minutes before the train's departure time). The return journey follows the same route as the first. Upon arrival at the Ollantaytambo train station, we will be there to transfer you to your hotel in Cusco (a 1 hour and 30-minute drive).
