Day 1: Cusco - Quesiuno - Abra Puka – Anantapata - Abra Warmisaya - Surine Cocha
We'll trek to Puka Pass, descending to have lunch at Anantapata. Then, we'll ascend to reach Abra Warmisaya and descend to camp around the Surine lake
Day 2: Surine Cocha - Rainbow Mountain – Cusco
Explore Rainbow Mountain. Return to Cusco.
Day 1: Our way to Ausangate, the sacred glacier in Cusco!
Today we will start early!
Around 5 am in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in our private transportation and go for a 2 and a half hour ride to Checacupe, where we will enjoy a quick visit to important bridges: Inca Colonial y Republicano.
From here, we will continue driving until Quesiuno, the small town where we will start our hike. This first part of hiking will take around 3 hours up until Puka Pass. This is a stunning summit where we can admire all the sacred mountains and the Ausangate glacier as a background.
Prepare a stone, which we will show respect with a traditional Apacheta (tower of stones that are left on the heights). The photos don't do it justice. Seeing it with your own eyes will be an out of this world experience. Here our maximum altitude is 4326 m.a.s.l.
The time to go down has arrived and the stomach is already asking us to stop to have lunch. In a small place called Anantapata a table full of Peruvian dishes awaits. Here, we will set all our tents and will be ready for camping time! A stunning sunset is saying good night to us!
Before going to sleep, we will have our dinner and tea time, our guide will also tell us the plan for our next day of exploring.

Day 2: Hiking to Vinicunca and Red valley: The colors of the rainbow mountain in the snow
The moment to say goodbye to the camp and the route that welcomed us during these last days to venture to know a new wonder: Rainbow Mountain.
Every time they tell you that something is impossible, remember a thousand times that in Cusco we have a mountain of colors, yes, you did not read wrong, a mountain with 7 colors that can be seen among imposing snow-capped mountains and reveals its peculiar colors to the view of the world.
After breakfast, our next destination will be the Vinicunca Pass over 5020 m.a.s.l. It will take us XXX hours to get there. Step by step, the colors appear through the clouds. The air gets a bit chillier than usual, and we know it's time for the tough climb—the last part to reach our goal: finally seeing the majestic 7-colored mountain!
The path gets steeper. We can feel the adrenaline and the urge to reach the summit. In our final push, we take those last steps, and finally, we've made it.
Indeed, it's got all 7 colors! We take a moment to rest, tidy up, and smile with such satisfaction at having achieved our goal—to witness this natural wonder.
Now at the top, all the trekking was absolutely worth it.
It’s time to return! With our hearts full of emotional memories and after capturing the moment in our minds, we begin the route back. This way will be easy, no worries! Our transportation will wait for us to take us to our buffet lunch and Cusco at the end.
